My Philosophy on Student Writing:
In my classroom, students will use fun and memorable strategies to actually learn the skill of writing. Here are some examples of ways that I make writing engaging:

Spice up your prompts!!! My personal fave? Break up letters! Perfect for the American Revolution, Cold War, and everything in between. Let students enjoy the drama of history! ​

Incorporate student interest to help teach skills. Your students can't stop yapping about if a gorilla would beat an army of 100 men? Wonderful, they can write a DBQ about it!
